Workplace Enablement
This demo module was developed in Articulate Storyline as part of an instructional design interview with Point Digital Finance. It introduces four essential strategies to help remote employees stay productive, engaged, and connected. Using multimedia, real-world scenarios, and self-assessment tools, the course simulates a brief onboarding experience designed to support new hires as they transition into remote roles.

The project began with a thorough analysis of the needs of remote workers at Point Digital Finance. This involved understanding the challenges they face and identifying key skills required for success. Drawing from industry research, remote work trends, and role expectations at Point Digital Finance, the learning need was defined: to equip learners with core strategies for productivity, communication, engagement, and work-life balance. These insights shaped the module’s focus and informed the learning objectives and structure.
Guided by the analysis, the content was structured around four key strategies for effective remote work, with a focus on clarity, real-world relevance, and immediate application. Using Articulate Storyline 360, I built an interactive e-learning module that incorporated multimedia elements including a curated YouTube video, custom graphics, and a self-assessment activity to encourage learner reflection and retention. The course design emphasized simplicity, accessibility, and learner engagement throughout.
The completed e-learning module was designed as an onboarding resource for new remote employees at Point Digital Finance. Though created as a demo project, it simulates a realistic deployment scenario in which the course could be integrated into the company’s LMS or onboarding platform. Its self-paced structure allows new hires to build foundational skills and confidence as they adapt to a remote work environment.
While developed as a demo, the module includes a built-in self-assessment to promote learner reflection and reinforce understanding. In a real-world implementation, effectiveness could be evaluated through onboarding survey feedback, learner confidence ratings, and manager observations to determine how well the course supports remote readiness. These insights would inform future iterations to align with evolving remote work challenges and organizational goals.
The biggest challenge was deciding what content was most critical for remote work success without making it feel obvious or generic. I learned to prioritize learner empathy—thinking about what new remote workers actually need day-to-day. Next time, I’d incorporate real user feedback earlier to shape content tone and relevance.
